Dean graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983 with a degree in Communications, and returned to Dallas to begin a career in medical sales. His interest in real estate began a long history of investment property ownership and management. It was no surprise that he would one day pursue his passion for real estate full time.​
He and his wife, Chris, relocated from the DFW area in 1994 because they loved the Texas Hill Country life. It has been a dream come true to have land on which to live with their critters.
